The 2012 Biology Department food drive was a great success, with 545 pounds of food being donated! Fordham was far ahead of the pack in the building competition with the following results:
- Fordham = 270 lbs
- Coker = 100 lbs
- Wilson = 98 lbs
- GSB = 77 lbs
Additionally, the BGSA participated in the GPSF Can Castle event where we built a castle out of the donated items to be judged in a campus-wide competition.
The food was donated to the Table, a local hunger-relief organization that helps distribute food to hungry children in the Chapel Hill and Carrboro areas.
