Working groups

The BGSA is hosting two working groups this semester led by graduate students and Postdocs!   One group’s focus is “writing and communication” and the other’s is “technical skills”.

The writing and communication working group is for those who would like to get (and give) feedback on:

  • portions of manuscripts or grant proposals
  • posters
  • presentations or talks

The technical skills working group is for those who would like:

  • help working through R or python scripts
  • Feedback and discussion on how to analyze and/or visualize data  
  • A set time to work on data analysis with a like-minded group, etc.

All members of EEOB, MCDB, CEE, and other biology-affiliated programs are welcome to submit material and/or bring problems to the working group, and all are encouraged to attend as many meetings as possible to participate in providing feedback and problem solving. A facilitator will be present at each meeting to organize and manage requests for help or feedback.
